Tech Corner: Get Fizzics Waytap for Saint Patrick's Day

March 10th. 2017

With Saint Patrick’s Day a week away, ensure that you are drinking the freshest of your favorite Irish beer, even if it is from home! Fizzics Waytap Beer Dispenser markets itself as the tap beer created by science, using sound waves to convert the beer’s carbonation into densely compacted and uninformed Micro-foam bubbles, allowing your cup full of beer to have that “fresh from the tap” taste.

The Fizzics countertop beer system eliminates the need for kegs and gas cartridges. It is an out-of-the-box ready setup. The system is compatible with bottles, cans, and 64 oz growlers, working with all beer styles, from IPAs, Pilsners, Lagers, and more. The biggest maintenance that is required is the occasional swap of the four AA batteries and a rinse off its hose.

As marketed, Fizzics Waytap creates fresh beer through science! By leveraging sound waves, Fizzics converts beer’s natural carbonation into densely compacted microfoam bubbles, unlocking the full taste of the draft beer, giving you the fullest flavor. All you need to do is place any bottle or can into the WayTap, pull down the handle, and sound waves will instantly make denser bubbles, enriching the texture and taste. The Micro-Foam will create a seal for the body of the beer, locking in the carbonation, this way the flavor stays fresh from your first sip to your last.

The Micro-Foam technology is an engineered using patent-pending technology that maximizes fluid dynamics and sound to enhance the flavor and taste of beer.

Once the bottle or can is placed inside the Waytap and closed, the system will automatically pressurize, making the beer ready to dispense. When you pull the handle forward, it will pour the beer under pressure at a controlled rate to maintain the carbonation of the beer. The flow will be digitally pressurized to keep the bulk of the carbonation within the beer. Push the handle backward to begin the “sonication process”, which applies sound waves to control the process of the converting the beer’s natural carbonation into the Micro-Foam. This is comprised of uniformed sized bubbles with the perfect density that delivers an enhanced aroma, flavor, and feel.

This system allows you to enjoy the true taste of your preferred beer the way the brewers intended you to drink them. It cost a reasonable $170 dollars, and this lightweight and portable machine is perfect for your countertop at home or will make the ideal gift for any beer lover you know.
